Walter Grätsch GmbH is a family-run business that has been operating in the ship repair sector for over 50 years. We repair and overhaul steering systems and bow thrusters from various well-known manufacturers.
We are looking for a permanent member to join our service team, starting immediately.
Your responsibilities
- With our Shipservice team in Quickborn, we serve customers worldwide.
- On-board service activities such as overhauls, maintenance and repairs of steering systems and bow thrusters
- Identification of technical issues
- Recommendation of spare parts for our customers in consultation with the sales department
- Preparation of detailed checklists for on-board service
- Technical follow-up of service assignments
- Operational quality assurance in the area of Technical & On-board Service
Your profile
- Completed technical training
- Professional experience, ideally in hydraulics, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering
- Experience in the maritime sector is desirable but not essential
- Good written and spoken English
- Category B driving licence
- Willingness to travel for service assignments worldwide (you will not be at sea, but will be based in ports working on the ships)
- Ability to work effectively within an international team
